Three more lecture concerts are scheduled for Saturdays at 2pm in 2018 on February 17, March 31 and April 28.

Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 2pm kicked off another lecture concert season at the APK. The Great American Songbook Series resumed  with a tribute to lyricist Johnny Mercer. Four more concerts are scheduled for Saturdays at 2pm in 2018 on January 27, February 17, March 31 and April 28.

 

Juneau Cabaret presents its second annual holiday show featuring local singers interpreting holiday favorites. The performance is from 5 – 6:30pm on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Rockwell Ballroom 109 S Franklin (upstairs). The show is pay as you can. Rockwell will have food and drink available for purchase. Attendees under 21 who are unaccompanied by a parent or guardian must sit in a designated area where no alcohol is served

Spring into spring and enjoy our last lecture concert presentation of the season.  April 29th will feature the incomparable Cole Porter and these fine local performers!

The lecture concert series has been a big success to date!  Next concerts are Saturday, March 25 at the APK lecture hall honoring women composers, then a tribute to Cole Porter April 29.

Juneau Cabaret, in partnership with the Friends of the Alaska State Library, Archives and Museum presents a Great American Songbook Composer Series at the Alexander P. Kashevaroff Building Lecture Hall beginning with a tribute to Richard Rodgers on January 28, a tribute to Duke Ellington on February 25, and more continuing one Saturday each month.

Co-sponsored by the Black Awareness Association and Juneau Cabaret.  All proceeds benefit the Black Awareness Association’s Scholarship Fund. WHAT: Soul Food Dinner, followed by show, The Vocal Music of Duke Ellington WHEN:  Saturday, February 28th, 2015 at 6:00 pm WHERE: Elizabeth Peratrovich Hall (Old ANB Hall) TICKETS: $45 adults/$25 students, available at the JACC, Hearthside, or online.
